About The Author
Judith L. Butler has been writing short stories & poems most of her life. Butler has published several Books of Poetry on Women Of The West. Her work has been featured in a number of Book Publications, Literary Anthologies & magazines & newspapers. Butler received the Silver Pen Award from San Jose Mercury News & an award from Artists Embassy International.
Butler sees her words as "Story Poems" bringing to life the amazing but often unknown women of the West.
Butler taught poetry to youth & adults through the California Poets in the Schools Program and the Arts Council of Inyo County and Napa Valley.
Butler has a special interest in bringing history alive to youth and exposing children to the magic of words & stories. She is currently working on a play on Western Women featured in her Book of Poems "Nevada Belle".
